Project Learn

Project Learn is a comprehensive educational enhancement program that allows members to complete their daily homework assignments, with the help and supervision of Boys & Girls Club staff and volunteers.

Project Learn offers:

   1)Homework help & tutoring

   2)High-yield learning activities, such as reading or worksheets

   3)Recognition & incentives



This program helps members become proficient in basic academic skills, teaching them to be responsible students. Project Learn provides members with the support and resources necessary to complete their homework, so that they can start the next school day with a sense of confidence and ability. Aside from homework assistance, Project Learn also offers tutoring for members who needs additional work in specific areas such as reading.

As part of Project Learn, Power Hour is a program implemented for members ages 12-17. Power Hour encourages our teen members to develop a daily habit of completing homework while studying in a quiet, dedicated space with adult support for one hour everyday.

The Project Learn program offers an incentive program for all members who participate. Everyday members complete their homework or participate in a learning activity, they receive Power Points, which can be used to obtain rewards. This incentive strategy encourages members to do their homework, and offers fun, rewarding recognition.
