raining. This program is for teen girls ages 12-17. The goal of SMART Girls is to help members to develop healthy attitudes and lifestyles. To accomplish this, the program addresses health and social issues that are specific to female Club members. Specifically, the goals of SMART Girls are to develop and enhance skills by helping them to:

   1)Understand and appreciate themselves.

   2)Develop positive, lifelong habits.

   3)Develop and enhance important female relationships through the involvement of adult female role models/mentors.

   4)Recognize and understand the risks of peer pressure, drugs, alcohol, relationships, and unhealthy habits.

   5)Learn to have self confidence and recognize their own strengths and abilities.

   6)Communicate with mentors and peers in a safe, comfortable environment.
